Abstract:
An absorbent core (31) of an absorbent article comprises: a first low mass per unit area region (41) that extends in the width direction between an excrement opening contact area and a rear side area; a second low mass per unit area region (42) that extends in the front-to-rear direction along a center line (CL) that connects centers in the width direction in the rear side area; and a front-to-rear compressed portion (88) that extends in the front-to-rear direction along the center line in the rear side area. The absorbent core in the excrement opening contact area has a higher mass per unit area than the mass per unit area of the first low mass per unit area region and the second low mass per unit area region. The second low mass per unit area region is connected to the first low mass per unit area region. At least a portion of the front-to-rear compressed portion is disposed inside the second low mass per unit area region.
