Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing heparan sulfate having anticoagulant activity. More specifically, provided is a method for producing heparan sulfate having a desired average molecular weight, said method comprising partially N-deacetylating heparosan, then degrading the same by treating with heparinase III, and converting the low-molecular compound thus obtained into heparan sulfate having anticoagulant activity.
