Abstract:
Provided are an absorbent body production device and an absorbent body production method that make it possible to suppress scattering of an absorbing substance during spraying of the absorbing substance to a substrate. A substrate (2) is conveyed along a rotating outer circumferential surface (12s) of a conveyance drum (12). A granular absorbing substance (8) is discharged from a spray port (32) of a spray apparatus (30) facing the outer circumferential surface (12s) of the conveyance drum (12), and the absorbing substance (8) is sprayed to the substrate (2) which is conveyed along the outer circumferential surface (12s) of the conveyance drum (12). The spray position at which the absorbing substance (8) is sprayed to the substrate (2) is controlled. For example, the position of the spray port (32) of the spray apparatus (30), or the angle at which the absorbing substance (8) is discharged from the spray port (32) of the spray apparatus (30) is controlled.
