Abstract:

Provided are an active matrix substrate and an organic EL display device, wherein a decrease in response speed of a current-driven light emitting element is reduced. The active matrix substrate is an analog gradation drive type active matrix substrate, wherein: a plurality of pixels each provided with a current-driven light emitting element and a drive transistor are provided on the active matrix substrate; the current-driven light emitting element includes a pixel electrode electrically connected to the drive transistor; and a driving transistor supplies a current to the current-driven light emitting element via the pixel electrode. In the active matrix substrate, the plurality of pixels include a first pixel and a second pixel which are arranged next to each other. Further, when the main surface of the substrate is viewed in a plan view, a gate electrode of the drive transistor included in the first pixel is arranged between the pixel electrode of the current-driven light emitting element included in the first pixel, and the pixel electrode of the current-driven light emitting element included in the second pixel.
