Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an adjustment method for a pulse wave measuring device that can be mounted on a wrist of a user. The pulse wave measuring device comprises: a pulse wave sensor that is equipped with a strain gauge and acquires pulse waves by measuring the pulse at a radial artery; a pressing means that presses the pulse wave sensor against the radial artery; and an output unit that outputs a measurement value of the pulse wave sensor in the form of a digital signal. The adjustment method comprises: a step for acquiring pulse waves by means of the pulse wave sensor when the pulse wave measuring device is mounted on a user's wrist and outputting the acquired measurement value in the form of a digital signal; a step for comparing the voltage level of the digital signal with a range that has been preset with respect to a maximum voltage level for the output unit; and a step for adjusting or designating a pressing force to be applied to the pulse wave sensor in the case when the voltage level of the digital signal falls outside said preset range.
