An advertisement display method and a related device. The method comprises: a terminal device (11) sends an advertisement request to an advertisement server (12); the terminal device (11) receives a return message sent by the advertisement server (12) and responding to the advertisement request; the terminal device (11) determines whether a second advertisement has been downloaded in a preset time; if the terminal has downloaded the second advertisement in the preset time, the terminal device (11) displays the second advertisement; and if the terminal does not download the second advertisement in the preset time, the terminal device (11) displays a first advertisement. The method can improve the advertisement display frequency and efficiency.
