An air conditioner for creating a pleasant indoor environment is disclosed. An air conditioner comprises: a circulation flow channel which communicates with an indoor space to allow air to circulate therethrough; an exhaust flow channel which has one end communicating with an outdoor space and the other end communicating with the circulation flow channel, so as to allow air to flow therethrough; a fan arranged in the circulation flow channel and suctioning air in the indoor space; a CO2 filtering unit arranged in the circulation flow channel and filtering out CO2 from the suctioned air; a heater arranged in the circulation flow channel at the preceding side of the CO2 filtering unit and heating the suctioned air so as to allow the CO2 filtered by the CO2 filtering unit to be included in the suctioned air; and a flow channel switching unit arranged at a connection portion between the circulation flow channel and the exhaust flow channel, and performing a switching operation between a CO2 filtering mode for supplying the CO2 -filtered air to the indoor space through the circulation flow channel and a CO2 exhaust mode for discharging the air containing the CO2 to the outdoor space through the exhaust flow channel.
