Abstract:
An air conditioner is disclosed. The air conditioner comprises: a filter assembly including a pre-filter and a dust collection filter sequentially disposed on an air flow path; a differential pressure sensor that detects a pressure difference between the front and rear surfaces of the dust collection filter; a memory; and a processor that stores differential pressure values sensed by the differential pressure sensor in the memory, wherein the processor identifies a degree of contamination of the dust collection filter on the basis of the magnitude of the detected differential pressure values, calculates the rate of change of the differential pressure values stored in the memory over time, and identifies a degree of contamination of the pre-filter on the basis of the calculated rate of change.
