Abstract:
An air conditioner (1) comprises: a refrigerant circuit that is configured by a compressor (21), a condenser (23/31), an expansion valve (25), and an evaporator (31/23) being annularly connected by refrigerant piping (5); a plurality of refrigerant temperature sensors (26a to 26d, 33a to 33c) that each measure the temperature of refrigerant circulating in the refrigerant piping (5); and a control circuit (20) that controls the opening degree of the expansion valve (25). When the control mode is low load mode, the control circuit (20) controls the opening degree of the expansion valve (25) on the basis of: the reference change value of the opening degree, determined according to the difference between the temperature of the refrigerant at the outlet of the evaporator (31/23) and a target evaporation temperature; the degree of supercooling; and the degree of superheating. When the control mode is normal mode, the control circuit (20) controls the opening degree of the expansion valve (25) on the basis of the temperature of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (21).
