Abstract:
An air conditioner (1) which has a sensor unit (40) including a temperature sensor (41) and a sensor-turning unit (42), has a sensor control unit (11) for switching the drive mode of the sensor unit (40) between a first drive mode for obtaining the temperature distribution in a target space (60) by moving a detection region (61) and a second drive mode for causing the detection region (61) to follow a person (70) inside the target space (60), and also has a determination unit (12) for determining the location and the state of the person (70) on the basis of the detected temperature, wherein the sensor control unit (11) switches the drive mode from the first drive mode to the second drive mode when the determination unit (12) has determined that the change in location of the person (70) during the first drive mode period satisfies first switching conditions, and the sensor control unit (11) switches the drive mode from the second drive mode to the first drive mode when the determination unit (12) has determined that the change in location and orientation of the person (70) during the second drive mode period satisfies second switching conditions.
