Abstract:
If each side wall (34), which is provided at the right and left of an outlet (10), is viewed from the front as a cross section taken along the surface of a vertical air-direction changing blade, which is provided on an indoor unit of an air conditioner and vertically changes the direction of air blown out from the outlet (10), in a state where the blade is oriented most downwardly, each side wall has a shape formed by combining a straight-line section (40) and an arc-shaped section (42) so as to widen outward toward the outlet (10). Thus, it is possible to minimize the air resistance of the blown-out air passing between the outermost lateral air-direction changing blade and the side wall of the outlet, and to also improve the capability of the indoor unit to change the air direction laterally.
