Abstract:
Obtained is an air conditioner that is user-friendly and whereby a user can confirm the level of energy conservation of the operation that is being performed merely by viewing a display, and can easily confirm whether or not an energy conserving operation having suppressed power consumption is being performed. The present invention is provided with: a dehumidification means that eliminates moisture from within air; a blower means that comprises a blower fan and a motor and that sucks in-room air and blows out dry air obtained by means of passage through the dehumidification means; a humidity detection means; a temperature detection means; a surface temperature detection means that detects the surface temperature within the room in a predetermined range; a display means that displays information by means of text and/or diagrams; and a control means that controls the blower means, the temperature detection means, and the display means. The control means detects that an object to be dried such as wet clothing has been disposed from the surface temperature detected by means of the surface temperature detection means in the predetermined range, alters the rotational frequency of the blower fan during operation of the blower means or the dehumidification means in accordance with the detection results, and displays the level of energy conservation at the display means in accordance with the altered rotational frequency.
