Abstract:
This air conditioner is provided with: a refrigerant circuit through which a refrigerant circulates and which is formed by sequentially connecting by piping a compressor which compresses the refrigerant and discharges the refrigerant, an indoor heat exchanger which exchanges heat between indoor air and the refrigerant which has been discharged from the compressor, a first throttle device which reduces the pressure of the refrigerant having been condensed by the indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger which comprises an upper heat exchanger and a lower heat exchanger which have flow passages independent of each other, the outdoor heat exchanger exchanging heat between outside air and the refrigerant having flowed through the first throttle device, and a flow passage switching device which selectively switches a flow passage to the upper heat exchanger side or to the lower heat exchanger side; an outdoor fan for supplying air to the outdoor heat exchanger; hot-gas bypass piping for connecting the flow passage switching device and the discharge side of the compressor; a second throttle device provided in the hot-gas bypass piping; and a control device which, while performing heating normal operation, performs heating defrosting operation which alternately defrosts the upper heat exchanger and the lower heat exchanger. During the heating defrosting operation, when defrosting the upper heat exchanger, the control device controls the speed of the outdoor fan to the lowest speed obtainable during the heating normal operation, and when defrosting the lower heat exchanger, the control device controls the speed of the outdoor fan to a speed higher than the lowest speed.
