Title:
AIR-COUPLED VORTEX ULTRASONIC PROBE MODULE FOR IMPROVING AUDITORY FUNCTION, AND ULTRASONIC IMAGING SYSTEM USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/014833
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air-coupled vortex ultrasonic probe module for improving auditory function, and an ultrasonic imaging system using same. According to the present invention, in the air-coupled ultrasonic probe module comprising an ultrasonic transducer for transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave to/from the inside of the ear, the ultrasonic transducer comprises: a piezoelectric element for generating an ultrasonic beam in response to an input signal; and a beam control means connected to the piezoelectric element or arranged at the front of the piezoelectric element in order to generate an eddy-shaped vortex beam from the ultrasonic beam generated by the piezoelectric element, wherein the piezoelectric element provides the ultrasonic beam vortex-rotated by the beam control means to inner ear tissue inside the ear. According to the present invention, an ultrasonic beam transmitted/received to/from the inside of the ear is vortex-rotated in an eddy shape such that the focusing power and penetrating power of transmission/reception energy is greatly increased and the inside of the ear can be efficiently imaged or treated.
