Abstract:
An air purification device (1) comprises a body case (2), an electrolysis tank (31), an electrolysis unit (22), a sterilization tank (32), an air-liquid contacting portion (21), a blower (3), an opening (33), a valve member (34) covering the opening (33), and a moving mechanism (35) for moving the valve member (34). The sterilization tank (32) is disposed below the opening (33). When the moving mechanism (35) moves the valve member (34) away from the opening edge of the opening (33), the opening (33) opens, and water containing active oxygen species from the electrolysis tank (31) is supplied to the sterilization tank (32). When the moving mechanism (35) causes the valve member (34) to make contact with the opening edge of the opening (33), the opening (33) is closed, and the supply of water containing active oxygen species from the electrolysis tank (31) to the sterilization tank (32) is stopped.
