Title:
ALLOY WITH HIGH HARDNESS, HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE AND HIGH ABRASION RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/035671
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An alloy with high hardness, high corrosion resistance and high abrasion resistance, consisting of a Cr-Al-Ni alloy having been subjected to aging heat treatment, wherein in the metal structure of cross section of the alloy, the proportion, in area ratio, of (&agr -phase + &gammad ’-phase + &gammad -phase) mixed phases having precipitated in the boundaries of crystal grains constituted of &gammad -phase is ≥ 95%, and wherein with respect to the intensity ratio in X-ray diffractometry of the alloy, I&agr (110)/[I&gammad (200)+I&gammad ’(004)]×100 is in the range of 50 to 200%. Further, there are provided parts of this alloy, alloy materials capable of forming this alloy and a process for producing the alloy. Thus, there become available not only a Cr-Al-Ni alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, hardness, abrasion resistance, mold release easiness, fatigue strength and specular finishability on molded surface but also parts of this alloy, alloy materials capable of forming this alloy and a process for producing the alloy.
