Abstract:

An aluminumoxy compound which is obtained from an organoaluminum compound and water, is soluble in a hydrocarbon solvent, and contains a residual organoaluminum compound in an amount of 10 wt.% or less; a carrier comprising said aluminumoxy compound and an inorganic compound; and a catalyst component for olefin polymerization. The use of the aluminumoxy compound and the catalyst component results in a catalyst which has high polymerization activity and can be used for producing a polyolefin excellent in the morphology of polymer.
