Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an antibody-binding protein having a reduced antibody-binding capacity in an acidic pH region. Provided is a protein containing an amino acid sequence obtained by substituting a hydrophobic amino acid residue, an acidic amino acid residue, or a polar uncharged amino acid residue with a basic amino acid residue in an amino acid sequence derived from the E, D, A, B, or C domain of a protein A enumerated by SEQ ID NO: 1-5, said protein being characterized in that compared with the pre-substituted protein, the substituted protein has a reduced antibody-binding capacity in an acidic pH region.
