An apparatus and a method for accelerating sludge granulation are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present embodiment, provided is a sludge granulation acceleration apparatus for accelerating the granulation of activated sludge into granules, and comprising: a cultivation tank into which the activated sludge and a carbon source flow so as to be cultivated for a preset time in a preset environment; an acceleration reaction tank into which the activated sludge cultivated in the cultivation tank and sewage from the outside flow so that the activated sludge grows and becomes granulated; and a control unit for controlling the operations of the cultivation tank and the acceleration reaction tank.
