Abstract:
According to one aspect of the present invention, an apparatus for detecting a channel quality indicator (CQI) determines whether or not to update the CQI using the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the channel for receiving the CQI which is fed back from a terminal, and comprises: a correlation calculation unit which calculates the correlation of indexes of channel quality indicators using the CQI which is fed back from the terminal; a maximum value determination unit which determines a global maximum value, which is an index of the CQI corresponding to the largest correlation from among indexes of all of channel quality indicators, and a local maximum value which is an index of the CQI corresponding to the largest correlation from among a portion of indexes of channel quality indicators, on the basis of the correlation calculated by the correlation calculation unit; and a CQI-managing unit which updates the previous CQI using the global maximum value or the local maximum value.
