Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery system diagnosis technology capable of effectively diagnosing, at an early stage, a defective battery cell among a plurality of battery cells included in a battery system. A battery system diagnosing apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention is an apparatus for diagnosing a battery system including a plurality of battery cells having electrode tabs therein, the apparatus comprising: a voltage measuring unit configured to measure an end voltage for each charging or each discharging with respect to each of the plurality of battery cells; and a processor configured to accumulate, according to the passage of time, the end voltage of each battery cell, which is measured by the voltage measuring unit, and to detect a battery cell in which a defect has occurred in the electrode tab, among the plurality of battery cells, on the basis of the trend in the accumulated end voltages.
