Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) may be configured to motivate handover to a 5G anchor cell in a high data throughput context. In some aspects, the UE may determine a signal measurement of an anchor neighbor cell, identify a data throughput context, and determine that the signal measurement is greater than a threshold. Further, the UE may send a measurement report to the non-5G serving cell, and receive a handover command for a handover to the anchor neighbor cell in response to the measurement report.
