Abstract:
An aqueous pigment dispersion obtained by dispersing a pigment with a water-soluble or self-emulsifiable carboxylated thermoplastic resin, characterized in that the ratio of the amount of the pigment to that of the thermoplastic resin (on a solid basis) is 10/10 to 10/1, that the thermoplastic resin which has been used for dispersing the pigment is crosslinked with a crosslinking agent, and that the ratio of the amount of the crosslinking agent to that of the thermoplastic resin (on a solid basis) is 1/100 to 50/100. The dispersion is excellent in all of light resistance, water resistance, alkali resistance, solvent resistance, and long-term stability.
