Abstract:
An arc-extinguishing chamber (23) comprises: a vacuum interrupter (4) provided with a bellows (25); a tube-shaped contact case (8) formed from an electroconductive material; a contact (33) that is fixed to an end of a movable lead (11) and disposed inside the tube of the contact case (8), and that electrically connects the contact case (8) to the movable lead (11); a seal rod (14) that is connected to the movable lead (11), and that moves the movable lead (11); and a movable side support (7) that has a cylindrical shape having formed in the bottom surface thereof a hole through which the seal rod (14) penetrates. The air pressure on the inside of a closed space, which is surrounded and sealed by the bellows (25), the contact case (8), and the movable side support (7), is atmospheric pressure in a pole-open state, and is less than atmospheric pressure in a pole-closed state.
