Abstract:
Provided is a microorganism that can decompose aromatic polyester or a breakdown product thereof. Also provided is a method for decomposing aromatic polyester or a breakdown product thereof using said microorganism. The microorganism that decomposes aromatic polyester or a breakdown product thereof is any one of three strains of microorganisms: Strain No. 2a (accession number NITE BP-03483), Strain No. 7a (accession number NITE BP-03484), or Strain No. 8d (accession number NITE BP-03485).
