Abstract:
A clothes dryer according to the present disclosure comprises an outer tub, a heat pump device, a circulation channel, a fan, and a drainage channel. The outer tub is elastically supported inside a housing and forms a drainage part connected to the outside. The heat pump device dehumidifies and heats air. The circulation channel connects the outer tub and the heat pump device. The fan creates negative pressure in the heat pump device, thereby generating airflow in the circulation channel. The drainage channel extends downward from an inlet provided in the heat pump device to an outlet provided in the outer tub so as to drain dehumidification water collected in the heat pump device to the outer tub. During a drying operation in which the fan is operated, the drainage channel forms a reservoir part that accumulates the dehumidification water from the heat pump device to a prescribed reference location according to the pressure gradient created by the pressure difference between the outlet and the inlet.
