Abstract:
Provided is an article management system that manages at least one article present in an area, the article management system comprising: a wireless tag that is attached to an article in the area, stores unique tag identification information, and operates by obtaining energy from radio waves in the vicinity; a wireless device that can communicate with the wireless tag; and an information processing device that can communicate with the wireless device and stores article information identifying the article in the area in association with the tag identification information of the wireless tag attached to the article, wherein the wireless tag transmits a packet including the tag identification information to the vicinity and the information processing device determines the article present in the area on the basis of the tag identification information included in the packet received via the wireless device.
