Abstract:
Provided are an artificial intelligence-based x-ray diagnosis method and system, the method including an image preprocessing process including image enhancement for detecting a solitary pulmonary nodule from a medical raw image acquired on site at a medical facility by means of a digital X-ray detection sensor. A system for the real-time automatic X-ray diagnosis of a solitary pulmonary nodule according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an image acquisition unit which acquires an X-ray image of a patient; an image diagnosis unit which divides the X-ray image received from the image acquisition unit into a plurality of sub-images, and diagnoses whether the patient has a solitary pulmonary nodule on the basis of an image corresponding to an area of interest among the divided sub-images; and an image viewer unit which receives the diagnosis result from the image diagnosis unit and displays the result on a screen. Accordingly, solitary pulmonary nodules can be detected using the medical raw image acquired on site at a medical facility by means of the digital X-ray detection sensor. In addition, according to embodiments of the present invention, information loss can be prevented in an image processing process for diagnosing an image by using an artificial intelligence-based learning model, and the efficiency of detecting small nodules of about 1.5 to 3 mm in size can be maximized.
