Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing artificial leather that is pliable and flexible and has appropriate resilience while having satisfactory thickness. The main purpose of the present invention is to provide artificial leather that includes, as constituent components, an unwoven fabric comprising ultrafine fibers having an average single-fiber diameter of 0.1-10 μｍ, and a polymeric elastic body, said artificial leather satisfying formulas (a) and (b) below. (a) 0.5≤FA/FB<1
(b) 0.5≤FC/FB<1
Here, FA, FB, and FC are respectively the intralayer fiber density (g/cm3) on one surface side, the intralayer fiber density (g/cm3) in the center in the thickness direction, and the intralayer fiber density (g/cm3) on the other surface side when the artificial leather has been trisected in the thickness direction.
