Abstract:
The present invention provides an artificial spinal disc comprising: an upper disc, which is formed in a plate shape and has an upper portion coupled to upper vertebrae; a protruding joint part protruding from the lower surface of the upper disc; and a lower disc, which is formed in a plate shape, has a lower portion coupled to lower vertebrae, and has an upper surface on which the protruding joint part is loaded. Accordingly, the artificial disc is implanted by a lateral or antero-lateral approach rather than a frontal approach to the spine, and the lateral or antero-lateral implantation is facilitated.
