Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an asset lending and borrowing system, a computer, an asset lending and borrowing method, and a program which are capable of, when a user lends the user's own asset to someone for a length of time, granting the user the right to borrow another user's asset for the same length of time, and thereby facilitating sound lending and borrowing of assets between users. [Solution] An asset lending and borrowing system 1 in which assets are lent and borrowed between users through consumption of rights, wherein, when a first user lends an asset to a second user for a length of time, the asset lending and borrowing system 1: grants the first user the right to borrow another user's asset for the same length of time; receives, from the first user, an input of the conditions under which the first user borrows an asset desired by the first user; searches among other users' assets; receives, from the first user, a request to borrow a found asset; if a third user who owns an asset matching the request lends the asset in response to the request, causes consumption of rights of the first user that correspond to the length of borrowing time specified by the request; and grants the third user the right to borrow another user's asset for a length of time equal to the length of borrowing time specified by the request.
