Abstract:
Provided is an assisting device for assisting the movement by which an assisted person stands from a seated posture to a standing posture. The assisting device comprises: a base; a moving member that can move in at least the vertical direction with respect to the base; a support member that is attached to the moving member at a prescribed attachment angle, and that supports the assisted person by coming into contact with the front surface of the upper body of the assisted person; and an angle adjusting part for adjusting the attachment angle, such adjustment performed in an initial state which is prior to the assisted person coming into contact with the support member.
