Abstract:
An endoscope device includes a light source unit (100), an imaging unit (200), and a processing unit (310). The light source unit (100) generates, as illumination light, narrow-band light having a peak wavelength in a range from a wavelength band that includes a maximum to a wavelength band that includes a minimum in the light-absorption characteristic of hemoglobin. The imaging unit (200) images light returning from an organism irradiated by the illumination light, and outputs an imaging signal. The processing unit (310) identifies a state of the organism using a captured image generated from the imaging signal, outputs state identification information indicating the state of the organism, and controls the wavelength characteristics of the illumination light on the basis of the state identification information.
