Abstract:
This assistive apparatus comprises a base, a first arm which is provided to the base and which turns about a horizontal first center axis, a second arm which is provided to the first arm and which turns about a horizontal second center axis, a support member which is provided to the second arm and which supports the upper half of the body of a person to be assisted, and a drive device for causing cooperative motion of the first arm and the second arm. The first arm is configured so that, in an initial state prior to performing assistance of a standing-up motion, the first arm is positioned farther forward than a knee bending position at which a femur and a lower leg part of the person to be assisted are bent.
