Abstract:
Provided are: an augmented reality device for synchronizing an external device and a spatial position coordinate system on the basis of position information about an imaged hand; and an operation method thereof. The augmented reality device according to an embodiment disclosed herein can synchronize a three-dimensional position coordination system of the augmented reality device with a three-dimensional position coordination system of an external device by: acquiring joint values for a hand of a user from an image including the hand; receiving, from the external device, reference joint values for the joints of the hand of the user, the reference joint values being values acquired by the external device; and matching the acquired joint values and the reference joint values.
