Abstract:
This invention provides an austenite-base stainless steel pipe, for a boiler, having excellent high-temperature steam oxidation resistance, which austenite-base stainless steel pipe is used in a superheater and a reheater in a heat power plant. In particular, the austenite-base stainless steel pipe for a boiler has a Cr content of 16 to 20% by weight and has a cold worked inner face. The content of Cr at a position near the inner surface of the steel pipe is not less than 14% by weight, and the hardness of a 100 μm position in the inner surface of the steel pipe is at least 1.5 times the average hardness of a parent metal, or a Hv hardness of not less than 300.
