Abstract:

An authentication system in a mode of embodiment comprises a control device, a user terminal and a service providing device. The control device comprises a storage unit, an information acquiring unit, an authentication processing unit and a control management unit. The information acquiring unit acquires an authentication element used for authentication. The authentication processing unit sends to the user terminal a comparison request message including an authentication element, to be compared with an authentication element acquired by the information acquiring unit, and receives from the user terminal a comparison response message corresponding to the comparison request message. If the comparison response message indicates that the comparison was successful, the authentication processing unit registers the acquired authentication element in the storage unit and sets a status of the authentication element to 'disabled'. The authentication processing unit sends an authentication element registration response message to the service providing device, and when the authentication processing unit receives from the service providing device an authentication element enable instruction corresponding to the authentication element registration response message, the authentication processing unit sets the status of the authentication element registered in the storage unit to 'enabled'.
