Title:
AUTOMATIC AUTHENTICATION IC CHIP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/065016
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] Spoofing in electronic devices cannot be completely prevented with logical security measures alone. Rather, logical security measures actually make it more difficult to prevent spoofing-based attacks. In view of this situation, a method is provided to prevent spoofing in electronic devices. [Solution] Using a response obtained from a challenge to an electronic device and a unique random number unique to an IC chip included in the electronic device, authentication of the electronic device is performed, and a physical firewall is created that comprises authenticated electric devices. Furthermore, a pair of a secret key and a public key is created using the response; the public key, or code information created from the public key, is used as a logical address for the electronic device; and an electronic signature created using the secret key is used for data transmission/reception between the electronic devices within the physical firewall.
