Abstract:
Provide is an automatic transmission which can suppress increase in size. The automatic transmission includes: a transmission mechanism (40) which is disposed in a transmission mechanism storage chamber (4) and has a plurality of transmission elements; a clutch (30) which is disposed in a clutch storage chamber (3), and connects and disconnects power delivery from a driving source to the transmission mechanism (40); and a first control unit (60) which stores first hydraulic control valves (62, 63) that control the transmission mechanism (40), wherein the first control unit (60) is disposed in the clutch storage chamber (3).
