Abstract:
An automobile having an automatic transmission and a manual transmission, which can be switched selectively. The automobile comprises an engine (1), a clutch (2), a manual transmission (3) connected to a clutch shaft (4) and a propeller shaft (6), an automatic transmission (9) connected to a rear end of the propeller shaft and provided with a torque converter (8), differential gear mechanisms (7, 10) provided on drive shafts (12, 15) for front wheels (11) and rear wheels (14), respectively, accelerator couplings (13, 16) and an automatic/manual change-over switch (17) for changing over connection of a drive coupling and the accelerator coupling.
