Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that one or more symbols, scheduled for transmitting to a base station or receiving from the base station, conflict with a measurement gap. The UE may transmit a random access preamble based at least in part on determining the conflict. In some aspects, the UE may receive, from a physical layer of the UE, an indication that the one or more symbols were not used for transmission or reception, such that the conflict is determined based at least in part on the indication. As an alternative, the UE may refrain from instructing a physical layer of the UE to use the one or more symbols for transmission or reception, based at least in part on determining the conflict. Numerous other aspects are described.
