Abstract:
This awakening effort motion estimation device is provided with: a captured image acquisition unit (101) which acquires a captured image of the face of an occupant of a vehicle (3); a reference point detection unit (104) which, on the basis of the captured image acquired by the captured image acquisition unit (101), detects, in the captured image, two reference points for estimating the movement of the mouth of the occupant, wherein one of the two reference points is a point on a mask worn by the occupant and the other of the two reference points is a different point on the mask or a point based on a feature point of the face of the occupant; a distance calculation unit (105) which calculates the reference point distance between the two reference points detected by the reference point detection unit (104); and a motion estimation unit (106) which estimates whether or not the occupant is making an awakening effort motion by moving the occupant's mouth, on the basis of whether or not the reference point distance calculated by the distance calculation unit (105) satisfies an awakening effort estimation condition.
