Title:
BACILLUS LICHENIFORMIS CELL CAPABLE OF BEING STABLY AND REPEATEDLY USED FOR CONVERSION AND SYNTHESIS OF D-ALLULOSE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/067086
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a Bacillus licheniformis cell capable of being stably and repeatedly used for conversion and synthesis of D-allulose, which belongs to the field of biotechnology. D-allulose is a functional sugar with a high health value and has wide application prospects in the fields of food, medicine, health care, and the like. The Bacillus licheniformis cell efficiently expresses a recombinant D-allulose-3-epimerase and can convert high-concentration fructose that serves as a substrate to generate D-allulose. After the whole-cell catalyst is repeatedly used 10 times, the conversion rate is not lower than 30%. Compared with a pure enzyme or a one-time whole-cell conversion mode, this technology for synthesizing D-allulose has remarkable advantages of low catalyst use cost, simple separation and purification, and the like.
