Abstract:
The present invention relates to bacteriophage having the ability to kill Cutibacterium acnes and, more specifically, to bacteriophage CAP-1 having the ability to kill Cutibacterium acnes, which proliferates on the skin and induces inflammation. Bacteriophage CAP-1 according to the present invention has an excellent ability to specifically infect and lyse Cutibacterium acnes, and thus can be widely used in the prevention and treatment of acneiform dermatitis primarily caused by Cutibacterium acnes.
