Abstract:
The present invention relates to a banknote identification system based on a YOLO algorithm and a method therefor. According to the present invention, the banknote identification system comprises: an input unit that receives, as an input, a banknote image captured while an illuminance, a photographing angle, and a distance to an object are respectively set differently and information regarding the banknote; a preprocessing unit that classifies and stores, by denomination, the input banknote image and the information regarding the banknote, extracts a banknote region from the stored banknote image, and then amplifies data regarding the extracted region; a training unit that trains a learning model by using the amplified data as training data; and a control unit that receives, as an input, an image to be identified, obtained by photographing a banknote to be identified, acquires identification information by inputting, into the learning model that has been completely trained, the image to be identified, and derives a banknote determination result by using the acquired identification information.
