Abstract:
This base paper for metallized paper has, on at least one surface thereof, a clay-coated layer and a resin layer in the stated order from the paper base side. The clay-coated layer contains an inorganic pigment and a binder. The mass ratio (inorganic pigment/binder) of the inorganic pigment to the binder in the clay-coated layer is 25/75 to 75/25. The coating amount (in terms of solid content) of the clay-coated layer is 8-20 g/m2.
