Abstract:
A base station comprises a chip repetition means that receives, decodes and time non-compresses a signal transmitted in VSCRF-CDMA format; a memory that stores a hopping pattern that is different from the hopping pattern used in an adjacent cell; and a means that notifies two or more mobile stations, which are existent in the local cell, of the hopping pattern stored in the memory. The hopping pattern is such a pattern that orthogonalizes the uplink channels of the two or more mobile stations in the frequency direction and/or the time direction. Each mobile station comprises a means that encodes, time compresses and duplicates the signal transmitted in VSCRF-CDMA format; and a means that maps and transmits the uplink channel by use of the hopping pattern notified of by the base station.
