Abstract:
This battery case 1 comprises: a main body 3 that is mounted below the floor of a vehicle body and that stores a battery, the main body comprising a solid-bottom frame having side walls 9 that oppose one another in the vehicle width direction when mounted in the vehicle body; and a battery-case cross member 5 that is provided in the main body 3 so as to span the opposing side walls 9 and that reinforces the main body 3. The battery-case cross member 5 comprises: a hat cross-section member 13 having a top plate section 13a, a vertical wall section 13b, and a flange section 13c, the flange section 13c being in contact with a bottom surface of the main body 3; a resin 15 that adheres to or is applied across the whole length of an inner surface and/or an outer surface of the hat cross-section member 13; and a reinforcement plate 17 that is arranged to cover the resin 15 and that is bonded to the resin 15.
