Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application relate to the field of batteries. Disclosed are a battery pack and an electric vehicle. The battery pack comprises: a shell, a cell assembly, a first spacer, a pressure relief portion and glue, wherein the first spacer is arranged between a first side of the cell assembly and the shell, and is deformed when the temperature is higher than a first threshold; and the glue is filled between at least part of an area, other than the first side of the cell assembly, and the shell, so as to fix the cell assembly and the shell. In this way, when thermal runaway occurs in the battery pack provided in the embodiments of the present application, a first spacer is deformed due to heat, such that a first pressure relief channel is formed between a first side of a cell assembly and a shell, and then a high-temperature gas can smoothly escape from the battery pack through the first pressure relief channel and a pressure relief portion, such that the defect of it not being possible to discharge the high-temperature gas in a timely manner when thermal runaway occurs in the cell assembly is prevented, thereby eliminating the risk of the battery pack exploding.
