A battery pack with a self-discharge function and an electric tool. The battery pack comprises a battery box (110), a self-discharge unit (120), and a battery cover (130). The self-discharge unit (120) comprises a self-discharge switch (121). The self-discharge switch (121) is used for controlling whether the self-discharge unit (120) performs discharge work or not. A battery cell (140) is provided in the battery box (130). The positive electrode end of the battery cell (140) is connected to one end of the self-discharge unit (120), and the negative electrode end of the battery cell (140) is connected to the other end of the self-discharge unit (120) by means of the battery cover (130). When the battery cover (130) is inserted into the battery box (110), the self-discharge switch (121) is in an off state to prohibit the self-discharge unit (120) from discharging. When the battery box (110) is pulled out of an electric tool and is not inserted with the battery cover (130), the self-discharge switch (121) is switched on, so that the self-discharge unit (120) performs discharge work. The battery pack has the beneficial effects that when the battery pack is discarded, the battery cell (140) in the battery pack can be subjected to self-discharging, so that safety accidents caused by sufficient electric quantity of the discarded battery cell (140) are avoided.
